Read MoreYesterday was my first day at the Amsterdam International Fashion Week A/W 2011 edition and I just couldn't wait to see some of the designers and models in action. My first show for today was The Green Fashion Competition. The eight finalists got a chance to showcase their collection and two winners were awarded at the end. The jury chose the winners based on their business plans and designs, in which they both underlined their ability to sustain our world's biodiversity while still producing catwalk-worthy collections.

The collection is named after the French word for orgasm: ‘Le Petit Mort', because they wanted to bring across a feeling of completely letting go, that rush of adrenaline when everything goes black.. After seeing the red laced-up boots that went far over the knees and a knitted dress that uncovered a lot of skin, they definitely had my heart racing with excitement.

They did a presentation of their collection in a museum, yes a museum, instead of doing it on a catwalk. Entering the museum was quite an experience. I had never been there before and I was amazed by its beautiful interiors. The presentation itself was shown in several different rooms, corridors and floors.
