Viral Radio Festival, last Friday in Trouw, was raw, dirty and fun. Lockdown set up camp in De Verdieping and spoiled us all night with hard and deep bass music. If it wasn't for the big line-up in the big room, lead by the Gaslamp Killer, I probably wouldn't even have made it up the stairs to the big room. My curiosity won in the end and I am grateful for it. The Gaslamp Killer was insane. His energy on stage is as crazy and wild as I've ever seen on a DJ and his music went from confusing to amazing (in a good way). Missed out? Here are twelve pictures.

Last Saturday, VOLTT Loves Summer's 5th edition took place on the NDSM docklands. Named by Resident Advisor as one of the top 10 August festivals of the world, local host Bart Skills can be proud of his baby. Among others, Ricardo Villalobos, Len Faki and Adam Beyer played some good and deep techno, house and minimal. The weather kept up its promise to me and I was even forced to buy some new sunglasses.
