The short series of shorts, Short & Sweet, hits Amsterdam again this week and runs until 21 April at Roest. Each night will feature eight short films and none will be longer than 20 minutes. Sounds perfect for those of us with short attention spans but with its stated aims to “educate, inspire and empower”, it shouldn’t be too frivolous either. (..more)

After moving back here in 2005 the Sugarfactory was in fact the first club I entered. It was a Thursday night and Vreemd (with Carlos Valdes) was the place to be.
