We’ve seen revolutions worldwide, people getting into the streets to fight for their rights. In the Western world, it sometimes seems that we really have nothing left to fight for. It all seems downgraded to questions on finance, the state of the economy and your hard-earned pensions. But what about artists? There’s a thin line between art, design, and fashion. Take the obvious example of Alexander McQueen, I honestly don’t know whether to look at his work as fashion or art. Nowadays, the only craftsmen left are just able to scrape by thanks to loyal customers who appreciate something prepared with a little tender loving care. There are almost extinct professions out there, but luckily there are also still people with passion who keep the fire burning. One of these people is the talented designer Jólan van der Wiel.
