Amsterdam Fashion Week Day 3 – Edwin Oudshoorn
OK dear readers, I've been working at Amsterdam Fashion Week for three or four seasons now. Never, in all that time, did I get 'emotional' during a show. Not only because it's such a girly thing to do, but because I'm from a teeny, tiny farmer town in the North of the Netherlands, where showing your emotions is frowned upon. Atelier Milada by Ann Boogaerts was one of the smaller shows of Amsterdam Fashion Week but probably the one with the most elaborate story. All the visitors received a booklet with a fairy tale, that served as the idea for the collection. (..more)

Elle Style Awards 2013, the Musical edition!
I dreamed a dream of dancing silk skirts.. except it wasn't a dream. Yesterday night the annual ELLE Style Awards were upon us again. This time held in Muziekgebouw aan ‘t IJ, it seemed bigger than ever. The wine and vodka were flowing, the outfits were outrageous and the winners were ecstatic. (..more)
Elin Kling for Marciano coming to Amsterdam!
Elin Kling, fashion icon and my favorite blogger, always looks amazing. Let's all agree on that first. Her understated Scandinavian style with a bit of Parisian flair is something I dream of. As well as those healthy beige locks of hers but let's not get all 'lesbionic' on Miss Kling here. (Even though a friend and I spent our first hours of 2012 laying in bed during 'Lame Years Eve', talking about our slight obsession for her, how skinny she is and that she probably never eats, with the exception of a salad every now and then.)
