Foam Lab is recruiting eight new talents who aspire a career in culture
After a successful year Foam Lab, Foam’s little brother, is looking for eight upcoming talents for their multidisciplinary team to join their inspiring and creative team for one year. During this year you organize special Foam events for other young creative people. I participated in a few of these events last year and I can honestly say they were great! I especially enjoyed the photography safaris; a day filled with photography, solving puzzles, interviews with established photographers. (..more)
Become one of the performers of your own party this Saturday at Curious LAB
When I think about my evenings in the theatre, my first thoughts are of sitting in the Bellevue, watching what the performers bring me, with a beer in hand. All very relaxed in a cozy chair.. Sometimes, I yearn for more tension and interaction between the performers and the audience. This is a reason why Curious Lab caught my attention, and might catch yours as well. Yesterday, my colleague Ridz already tipped Curious LAB in his Next Monday’s Hangover. Let me elaborate and show you some visuals from their kick-off and Fringe teaser! (..more)

A reason for photography museum Huis Marseille to bring an ode to analogue and to master printer Peter Svenson from the Analogical Photo printing-Lab (AAP-Lab) in specific. (..more)
Amsterdam screams for culture in twelve pictures
Last Saturday, 4 pm sharp, about twenty thousand culture lovers cried their hearts out for at least one hour in front of Amsterdam’s City Theatre at Leidseplein. The ‘Netherlands scream for culture’ initiative encouraged all these people to scream on top of their lungs and featured speakers such as Ivo Niehe, Sophie Hilbrand and Cornald Maas against ‘the impoverishment of the cultural life’. Art & Connection is a photo exhibition about inspiring and connecting people
Amsterdam's photography museum Foam is organizing the photo exhibition Art & Connection in collaboration with the usual unusual company &samhoud. The central theme of this exhibition, Connection, is linked to &samhoud's higher goal: "Together we build a brighter future. We achieve breakthroughs by inspiring and connecting people", and I believe in that! I think that the exhibition succeeds in showing us the real importance of connecting people. When you connect and inspire people, beautiful things may evolve, like we try to do here at Overdose ;-) (..more)
