Gui Boratto, Madeon, The Gaslamp Killer and more revealed for 5 Days Off 2012
5 Days Off, one of Amsterdam’s most progressive and innovative indoor festivals just revealed the first names for their twelfth edition in May of 2012. Amongst them, we’re happy to announce, are Madeon, Gui Boratto, Ben Klock, Jessie Ware, Monolake (live) and The Gaslamp Killer. More names will be revealed at the end of December. Next to a killer musical line-up, 5 Days Off is known for also integrating theatre, film, debate, photography, art and literature into its broad programme. (..more)

For the next episode of their weekender sessions, We Are E is taking you to the French side of things with one of their friends from the South, Rodriguez Jr. With a remix on the first release of the We Are EP label and an energetic performance during the release-party earlier this year, this former member of F-Communications’ The Youngsters returns to present his new album Bittersweet in Amsterdam. Guest of Honour: A night with Âme at Innervisions’ ADE special showcase
Man, were we broken after this year’s Amsterdam Dance Event. The main events on the highly anticipated Thursday night were Studio 80′s all-nighter and the legendary Night With Innervisions at Trouw. My partner in crime Mark and I decided to go check out the latter. Of course, we did not go empty handed. We took our recording weapons with us and got to have a chat with Kristian Beyer, Innervisions protagonist and DJ in Âme. (..more)

Smirnoff exchanges Amsterdam’s nightlife with New York’s
On the 12th of November, no less than fifty countries will swap and connect with each other to celebrate their nightlife cultures. What does this mean? Smirnoff’s Nightlife Exchange Project links major cities to each other and transforms local party’s into those from a sister city. For example, our town Amsterdam will transform into New York’s infamous nightlife. Expect yellow cabs, loads of cocktails and performances by house artists from New York and hip-hop legends.
