It’s Sunday and you’re hungover, angry at the world, at bartenders and most of all: yourself. No worries, we feel the same. That’s why we’ve invented Sunday Roast. A bi-weekly conversational ‘column’. A written one. Online. Every other Sunday, Mark and Sabrina vent about the horrible burdens and ungodly mishaps of their 21st century life. Usually reserved only for bars, we bring our problems right into your home. Sharing is sexy, and a problem shared is a problem halved.. You are cordially invited to our pity party. (..more)

You all know her as Overdose.am’s film specialist, but Anouk has more up her sleeve than eating popcorn and writing about it. The 20th of October, her book De Almeerse Rioolmoorden will be published. Yes, that’s right. Her book. I sat down with her to find out more about how this came to be, and what else she is hiding from us. (..more)

The plans for a metro tunnel from North to South Amsterdam were made in 1968, and it only took until 2003 before constructions started. Diligent as our builders are, projections say it will be finished as soon as 2017. All joking aside, that's quite a lot of time to have an empty tunnel put to no use. That's what Mothers of Art must have thought when they decided on a location for their newest exhibition. (..more)

I never actively scour their website, but I still find myself spending quite some time reading their extremely interesting and ever-pointy reports, columns and stories. Somehow they just force themselves into my daily activities by injecting my friend-stream with clever titles, confusing quotes and fascinating thumbnails. I have no choice but to click and quench my curiosity by reading every single letter on the page. (..more)

Everybody who was clever enough to attend will confirm: the Overdose.am x Cassette Jam Session in Club Up last week was a great success. The musicians had never met before, but quickly found eachother through the jazzy vibes and electronic bleeps and beats. We recorded the jams for your home enjoyment, and our beloved friend Andrea Huls was there to capture the visual highlights of the night. The former will be provided to you very swiftly, the latter is here right now. Enjoy! (..more)

A couple of weeks ago Yoga wrote about the launch party of Fromanteel's 'Luxury Credit Card Holder', and promised we'd get back to you with the 'making of' photos for the promotional shoot. Today is the time. Our befriended bloggers at Ajanaku wrote a nice article about the photo shoot, which took place in the old Restaurant Koevoet in the Jordaan area. Death by dance: Will you survive Cut Copy?

It's summer in the city. Feel the scorching sun in your face. Feel the instant moistening of your armpits. Now run. Run to the end of the street. Run another street. As fast as you can. Run back again. Drop and push twenty. Is your t-shirt wet yet? Run another block. Ignore red lights, dodge the cars. Jump up and down. Gasp for breath. Keep running. Scream your lungs out. RUN!
