Amsterdam International Fashion Week Day 2 – Pauline van Dongen
Pauline van Dongen made her entrance at Amsterdam International Fashion Week this season. Needles to say, a very impressing one! Pauline’s collection ‘Kinetic Landscapes’ consisted of dresses with graphic lines and unexpected shapes in a colour palette of orange, blue, grey and black. (..more)
Ordinary People Looking Extraordinary at Amsterdam Fashion Week
The puddles evaporated, the temperature went up and fashion heaven literally opened. Models came outside without ruining their perfectly coiffed hair and the blogger scene came out of their closet to Play & Pose for Charlotte Kan’s project. Everyone seemed much happier. And so was I, because finally I could (..more)
Ordinary People Looking Extraordinary at Amsterdam International Fashion Week
Normal people in Amsterdam who show their own style, caught on the street by our cameras. More street style from Amsterdam here. Finally, fashion week is in town! It is always a feast for the eyes to see all the Dutchies dressing their best. Day 2 it rained cats and dogs (..more)
Amsterdam International Fashion Week Day 2 – Winde Rienstra
Winde totally understood the devil is in the details during the process of making a time-consuming collection like this. The colour palette consisted of different shades of white combined with wooden elements. I think she created a perfect balance between fashion, art and a bit of architecture, just the way I like it at a fashion show! (..more)
Ordinary People Looking Extraordinary at 18hrs Festival
A festival that lasts for 18 hours asks for a comfortable outfit. Just throw on some wellies, shorts and a pair of indispensable sunglasses. Ever since Kate Moss introduced this failproof festival look in 2005, girls slavishly copied it. Festival fashion has become almost equally as important as the music performances. Admit it, is there anything more relaxing than unashamedly staring at people behind your sunglasses while eating your swampy festival hamburger? (..more)

Kerkennacht Amsterdam guides you from one church to another
Although I am not a (very) religious person, there is one event this weekend I do not want to miss: Kerkennacht (or Church Night) Amsterdam. It is an event not only for religious ones, but also for those who simply adore architecture, darkness and unusual happenings. Imagine. 12 churches in the centre of Amsterdam. Darkness or about-to-get-dark. Music, photography, performances, talks, a cup of coffee/tea and a tasty cake, depending on each church. (..more)
Ordinary People Looking Extraordinary at By AMFI’s b-day bash
Last Friday, By AMFI celebrated the birth of their new visual identity and website. A colourful Mojito bar and a pyramid made of ice cream only added to the festive atmosphere. As with every fashion party, it’s obviously about seeing and being seen. Although a greater part of the population was safely dressed in black there were plenty of people picture worthy. So I just let my zoom lens unashamedly do the trick for me. Don't judge, just enjoy staring! (..more)
The classic art of gaming at Mediamatic
All you Duck Hunters, Space Invaders and Pacmen out there, fancy a trip down memory lane? Here is the opportunity for that long forgotten revenge game. We already told you about the arcade exhibition at Mediamatic that's been going on for a while now, but they expanded their collection of retro gaming devices with a wide range of consoles. From the first Videopac in 1978 (yes kids, there actually was some form of gaming back then) and Atari, to a modern-day device like Kinect. It appears Mediamatic even heard Rob's plea for Sonic, because the infamous hedgehog is also present. (..more)
