Not to long ago I ventured into the Nieuwe Spiegelstraat and followed my nose into Soup Enzo. Basically, if you don’t like soup this will not be your place, but if you do have a weakness for some boiled and blended veggies, welcome to heaven. It's a small corner shop with a friendly atmosphere. The concept is simple and was brought to Holland from Great Britain by a few savvy Dutch entrepreneurs: you choose a soup from the menu, which is altered on a daily basis. Museumnacht – 5 ways to get enlightened instead of drunk on a Saturday night
Museums are here to remind us of our past, show us our future, teach us some culture and entertain us in the meantime. As a kid, I personally did not enjoy the endless walks through the Rijksmuseum to stare at ancient dead blokes. On the other hand, I did very much enjoy museums in which you were allowed to have a little adventure (treasure hunts), create stuff (made myself some sun cream at Nemo) and learn something at the same time. My imagination would go on a rampage at the Tropical museum where I thought myself to be a discoverer in search of new tribes. (..more)
