For the second edition of the underground film tour we visit Studio K, situated in the East of Amsterdam. Joline and Hanne (two young lasses) invite us for a drink and immediately start telling about the intriguing concept of Studio K. The underground film theater tour: Kriterion
The average Joe enjoys kicking back at the movies in a comfy chair. That experience is enhanced in film theatres that have withstood the test of time and have a story to tell. Away I say! To the high-tech commercial factories with overpriced rubber popcorn and ‘plopping’ beer. A social movement needs to arise from the ashes and stop these commercial beasts from ruining the art and experience of film. A wise man once told me that the he found it remarkable how much people invest in expensive high tech toys and luxurious interiors, yet when it comes to buying food people want the cheapest they can find. “Food is something that you consume, that travels through your internal system and we want the cheapest deal!” He noted that investing in your body is the most valuable thing you can do, since your stuck with it until you die. Fashionably late and escorted by flaming flames, the man himself opened the night with a telephone tête-à-tête. After an intriguing confabulation, models bounced off the catwalk and entertained the crowd with their ostentatious looks.
