Jerry is the name, online is my game. I'm a digital enthusiast, ranging from old skool gaming and Space Invaders to iPads and social media. The integration of digital elements in everyday life and art have my particular interest, and besides that I'm part time rockaholic.

This is a contribution by photographer Anieck van Maaren. Passionate about live music and travel, she’s been known to tour all over Europe to see her favourite bands perform, combining her passions in the process.

Progressive rock icons Anathema brought their acoustic set to a sold out Melkweg on Sunday. Credited with basically inventing the doom metal genre, this set was much quieter than their older material. However, that didn’t stop their dedicated fans from singing along to every lyric. Crowd favourites like One Last Goodbye and Untouchable part 1 and 2 were met with excited cheers and sung from at the top of their lungs. The support for the night came from the enchanting musical duo AVA. Their combination of piano and violin was an absolute crowd favourite and it was no surprise that violinist Anna Phoebe took the stage with Anathema moments later to support them for a few songs. Certainly the star of the night, in my eyes.
