About the author
Being driven by music from a young age made me realize how lucky I am to be situated in Amsterdam and its ever growing scene of artists, events and, of course, music enthusiasts. With a focus on the feel of House, Techno and all in between, sharing my love for music in any way possible acts as a fine expressive outlet.

Too many plans for the weekend? Let me narrow your options down by weekly suggesting the events where you can meet, dance and drink with Amsterdam’s finest crowds. After all, ‘a hangover ain’t worth the pain if the party is lame’. So here’s where you weekend warriors should go to make it worth your damn hangover.

Saturday: The Tribe with Ion Ludwig, Shaun Reeves, Maher Daniel & Christoffer Zaza @ Shelter

It’s getting quite obvious that The Tribe isn’t going anywhere, as they’re making waves of size in town. After a fantastic debut in June, Saturday will see the organization return to Shelter with an impressive line-up yet again. This time Christoffer Zaza will solely spread the characteristic Tribe spirit while kicking things off. He’ll be followed up by Dutch pride Ion Ludwig and a rare b2b session between Shaun Reeves and Maher Daniel. Ion Ludwig’s complex productions and ever-evolving live performances have put him right next to the elite of the minimal house scene, resulting in regular slots at Club Der Visionaere, Sunwaves and the likes. Having him play downstairs is definitely something not to sleep on. As for the mentioned session by Reeves and Daniel you can expect to not be let go off before dawn.

Sunday: NDS Sunday Closing with the NDS all-stars @ Dok Amsterdam

The NDS Sunday series will have the privilege to close down Dok forever, considering the fact that the creative space will not return in its present state next year. Many have enjoyed the sunny daytime parties hosted by NDS, where laid-back vibes combined with locally selected tunes contributed to some of the summer’s lushest Sundays. In memory of all past editions Dok will receive a total of 8 affiliated artists to make the last one truly leave a mark. The selected bunch are all forerunners of quality house music and strenghten the local scene as each to their own. Because of this there’s no doubt that Sunday will be a great celebration of our rocksolid culture of selectors and that’s exactly what the NDS Sundays stood for this past season.
