About the author
Being driven by music from a young age made me realize how lucky I am to be situated in Amsterdam and its ever growing scene of artists, events and, of course, music enthusiasts. With a focus on the feel of House, Techno and all in between, sharing my love for music in any way possible acts as a fine expressive outlet.

Too many plans for the weekend? Let me narrow your options down by weekly suggesting the events where you can meet, dance and drink with Amsterdam’s finest crowds. After all, ‘a hangover ain’t worth the pain if the party is lame’. So here’s where you weekend warriors should go to make it worth your damn hangover.

Friday: Our Society with Levon Vincent, Analog Soul, Lakuti and Wendel Sield @ Shelter

After the success of Our Society’s last Shelter visit we can gladly attend a next edition this Friday. With a focus on the deep and soulful facets of dance music the organization has already proved itself to be one of the city’s leading entities when it comes to the hosting of some of the cities grooviest events. As a collaboration with the Uzuri Recordings & Bookings agency they’ve lined up Our Society resident Wendel Sield, New York leading figure Levon Vincent and Uzuri’s own Analog Soul and Lakuti. As both the twin sister DJ duo of Analog Soul and Levon Vincent find their musical strength in the spirit of New York, the night will surely be steered in a certain direction apart from the influences of Panorama Bar mainstay Lakuti and Wendel. A collaboration not to miss!

Saturday: Slapfunk with Evan Baggs, Christoffer & Nicholas, Ingi Visions & more @ BRET

Slapfunk threw their first party exactly nine years ago, celebrating the birthdays of some of the label’s key members. This particular weekend has therefore been a staple at Slapfunk’s annual event planning and has naturally become one of their biggest celebrations. The significance of their upcoming event can easily be analysed from their list of performing invitees as they’re welcoming Evan Baggs, Christoffer & Nicholas, Miller and many more to take place behind the decks for an 11-hour family gathering. As a result, BRET will most likely be filled with friendly vibes once again.
