About the author
Being driven by music from a young age made me realize how lucky I am to be situated in Amsterdam and its ever growing scene of artists, events and, of course, music enthusiasts. With a focus on the feel of House, Techno and all in between, sharing my love for music in any way possible acts as a fine expressive outlet.

Too many plans for the weekend? Let me narrow your options down by weekly suggesting the events where you can meet, dance and drink with Amsterdam’s finest crowds. After all, ‘a hangover ain’t worth the pain if the party is lame’. So here’s where you weekend warriors should go to make it worth your damn hangover.

Saturday: Volcov & Linkwood @ Radion

Another great night coming up at Radion! Their Open-To-Close concept has already shed light on a wide array of interesting artists and this Saturday will most definitely add to this streak with Volcov and Linkwood playing together as a duo. The monthly night grants prolonged time slots to those playing, thereby enhancing the opportunity to go that bit deeper or weirder while playing out. As both Volcov and Linkwood are quite the diggers themselves, chances are great they’ll grab this opportunity and put down something very special. Expect lush electronics and good vibes only.

Saturday: Caron LIVE, Star-Kid LIVE, Bodem, Gamma Intel & 543ff @ Garage Noord

Garage Noord is also providing an exceptional night this weekend, but with focus on a more sturdy sound. Presented by a select group of Dutch-based artists, it will be a fitting mixture of fierce electro and affiliated sounds to be heard in this relatively new location. Having gained popularity on short term basis, Garage Noord offers the less obvious, unexpected and sometimes undiscovered across the IJ river. Therefore it’s no wonder they’ll introduce this specific bunch and their fresh take on electro. Take a hold of Gamma Intel and 543ff’s Red Light Radio broadcast for a decent introduction. Enjoy.
