Too many plans for the weekend? Let me narrow your options down by weekly suggesting the events where you can meet, dance and drink with Amsterdam’s finest crowds. After all, ‘a hangover ain’t worth the pain if the party is lame’. So here’s where you weekend warriors should go to make it worth your damn hangover.
Saturday: Giegling @ Thuishaven
The almighty Giegling returns to Thuishaven with a full crew this Saturday, where both the location’s Circus and Warehouse will be filled with the defining soulful house and techno sound the label is known for. Throughout day and night both live and DJ sets can be heard by the likes of DJ Dustin, Leafar Legov, Sa Pa, Edward and many more. This together with the more than extensive production of the Thuishaven crew will probably create no less than a superb experience. Thinking of the Giegling night at Lowlands Festival’s last edition still makes me smile.
Lone, DJ Boring & more @ Claire
For a more crunchy and dusty house sound, it is Claire that hosts the goods. The club will bring in DJ Boring and DJ Windows XP, who both deservedly gained massive attention by consistently delivering solid tracks, all the while a sound of low fidelity house rose up. Together with the aforementioned, R&S Records’ maestro Lone and Awanto3 headline the bill. To top it off, the second room will accomodate a pretty refreshing and artsy concept provided by Fck You White Paper next to local music selectors Cosmic Sans and Chef d’Oeuvre.
Sunday: Destructive Creations After-Launch-Party @ The Jazzebel
When the sun rises on Sunday it’ll be the promising Destructive Creations agency taking over The Jazzebel and presenting their roster of artists for ten hours straight. In combination with a nice selection of food, the party will get you through the last part of your weekend nice and smooth.
