About the author
I’ve been a music hoarder all my life and it was I who coined the phrase: ‘Every genre has something to offer’ (patent pending). My main infatuations are House, Disco, Jazz, Funk, Hip Hop and every subgenre in between. As long as the tunes spark up a euphoric feeling. Writing about Music expresses my passion for the art.

With New Year’s Eve on a Sunday this year, your weekend is assured to be filled with hangovers. Why not make ‘em worth it and head to one of the parties below?

Friday: MORE Bounce w/ Pomrad @ Canvas

Calling all funksters to Canvas tonight! After a successful live edition with MXXWLL, the MORE Bounce crew continues to incorporate the live element to the funkiest party in the Dam. This time around, Pomrad is up for the task. Whether he’s laying down vocals, coming through with the keytar or drumming the beats away, you know it’s gonna be futuristic, organic and funky as hell. And of course, the MORE Bounce crew will back up the same funkiness with records from the past and contemporary cuts.

Saturday: Paul Johnson, Michel de Hey & more @ Claire

One of many Chi-town’s legends is coming over to bring the original house sound to Claire. That’s right, it’s Paul Johnson! Either by his own productions or the records spins, he’ll have the dancefloor stompin’, that’s for sure. Not that he needs any help, but aiding him in this goal are Michel de Hey, Anil Aras and Samuel Deep, who all three know a thing or two about one cause: getting the dancefloor too hot to stand still on.

Sunday: ON2018 w/ Byron The Aquarius, Jamie3:26, Antal & more @ Radion

New Year’s Eve is all about being surrounded by your friends and toasting to last year’s highs and the ones to come in 2018. Radion invites you to ring in the new year with your friends, while there’s also a friendly get together happening behind the decks. A generation spanning crew, headlined by Antal, Byron the Aquarius and Jamie 3:26, got your night covered with tunes from all over the globe. Additionally, Wendel Sield, Kamma, Masalo and Margie rep the Dutch new-wave of music fanatics, serving you the same sound as their peers.

Sunday: Plan B: Radio de Koperen Hond @ Volkshotel

Need a last minute plan? No worries, Volkshotel to the rescue! The independent Radio de Koperen Hond comes through with a live show at the Werkplaats on the base floor at Volkshotel. With a free entrance, this one is truly for those who’re just a tad bit too late with planning where they’re gonna spend the last minutes of the year at. Check out the full roster here.
