This New Year’s Eve the Rozentheater is where Lloyd-Acardi’s annual spectacle takes place. For 15 years this foundation against dogmas has been bringing theatrical dress up parties to Amsterdam, and this edition is aptly themed Gypsies; an indirect shoutout to the city’s free spirit.

The Rozentheater will open up their main rooms, though it’s possible to get lost in the halls in the lower levels of the building. Expect a new experience around each corner: fortune tellers, flamenco, violin battles, arm wrestling, klezmer music or intimate guitar concerts. Next to these typically thematic expressions the line-up consists of artists like Some Chemistry (Georgies), Awanto 3 (Rush Hour) and Jan van Kampen (Dekmantel). This provides for a good balance between theme and music.
