Deep afro house is an under-appreciated genre in Amsterdam. The recently started Kemet Soul is introducing the sound to the city by bringing it to Akhnaton this Friday. With some of the leading DJs of the genre like Dave Anthony and El Deep & Jazzcool behind the decks, get familiar with a sound that’s big in London, and soon in the Dam as well. Percussion-driven records, underpinned by deep bass lines and a consistent groove is what you can expect!

Saturday: Konstant w/ Jan van Kampen, Yann & Herberichs @ Oosterbar

Oosterbar is lighting up with Dekmantel’s Jan van Kampen as a headliner for the Saturday night. Expect some range, either house, disco gems or some dusted up techno. Alongside Jan stands disco don Yann and Konstant resident Heiberichs.
