About the author
Half-tourist and half-journalist, I am a full-time hot chocolate drinker who never leaves her camera. Always on the lookout, from classical music to rap, to the arts or good spots to visit, I could also feed myself with history and culture of all kinds.

Wicked Jazz Sounds is stronger than ever after their second sold out festival edition last year. Step by step, this party organization turned into a musical platform and became a festival. The third one will gather funk, soul, afro-beat and hip-hop lovers as they see music in the widest way. Jazz is a genre where a lot of other music originated. You’ll find Wicked Jazz Sounds Festival’s band & DJ there, but also well-known local and international personalities in the jazz music scene.

From punk to new-disco

The music program is as wide as possible, as Wicked Jazz Sounds considers funk, soul, hip-hop, disco, drum ‘n bass, latin and even house as their musical base. Some guests had already been announced: LEFTO, Jungle by Night, or Omar & Mark de Clive-Lowe. A taste of hip-hop-jazz will be offered by the Dutch Student Jazz Orchestra, along with Pete Philly and Yoran Vroom, who already performed a jazz version of Daft Punk together.

But some new names have just been announced by the festival as well. Kris Berry joined the full line-up to make you dance with her sweet voice, or maybe you prefer Funky Organizers. But there will also be local stars such as King Hassan or L’Enfant, who’ll burn the dancefloor with these soulful jazz beats.
