About the author
I’ve been a music hoarder all my life and it was I who coined the phrase: ‘Every genre has something to offer’ (patent pending). My main infatuations are House, Disco, Jazz, Funk, Hip Hop and every subgenre in between. As long as the tunes spark up a euphoric feeling. Writing about Music expresses my passion for the art.

As King’s Day shakes things up this week, or rather grants you the opportunity to kick off your weekend earlier than usual, here are a few events you want to visit. These are just a few of many awesome parties that are happening during King’s Day, aside from strolling through the city of course.

King’s Night: Ondersteboven w/ Space Dimension Controller & TITIA @ Canvas

With signature ambient sounds and dozy beats, Space Dimension Controller knows how to take you by the hand ears on a musical journey. He’ll do so this Wednesday in Canvas, alongside the profound house selections of TITIA. Ease in Kingsnight and dance the night away with these two!

King’s Night: MOOD X Our Society @ Canvas

Our Society and MOOD team up for an star studded kingsnight special in Radion. MOOD is providing raw techno sounds in the main area with Steve O’Sullivan, D-IX, Mark Antoni, Dennis Wuisman and Deniro, while Our Society takes over the Bovenkamer and will house things up a notch. Panorama Bar residents Tama Sumo and Lakuti join forces behind the decks to cover all musical styles you’d ever wanna hear. In addition Jamie 3:26 and Our Society’s resident Wendel Sield are coming along to to add that soulful touch to the night.

King’s Day: Strictly Rhythm Reunion w/ Todd Terry & Kenny Dope @ Radion

My personal favorite classic house label is kicking off their reunion tour in Radion! Strictly Rhythm has had so much impact on the development of house music in general. By spreading acid, soulful and deep house they’ve left a mark on the scene, that no one cannot know about. So, in light of that, here’s a playlist consisting of nearly 700 tracks from the label, so you can get a feel of what’s going to happen this Thursday. The 2 legends Todd Terry and Kenny Dope will be giving the turntables a good swing with probably some of the tunes you’ve just found in the playlist.
