Jack Stereo was influenced by the Detroit techno and Chicago house sound at an early age. Despite this his real hook on house music came when he moved to Amsterdam, where dance was ruling the club scene. He decided that house was his future and soon he started spinning records behind his first set of decks at the tender age of 16.
The mixtape he compiled for us is a blend of old-school deephouse and techno records, combined with his favourite house classics.
It all started with the love for funky tech house, inspired by Joris Voorn, Derrick May and other great house legends, as he spent hours in the clubs and record stores listening to his favorite DJs. He soon discovered the feel and energy of performing in front of a crowd and became Jack Stereo; an entertaining artist. His first gigs were at private parties and clubs in his neighborhood, but after a while he started playing at clubs such as The Mansion, Powerzone, Canvas, Club NL, AIR and many more all around the world. His love for house music grew and he decided to produce his own sound experimenting with all kinds of house influences for over a year. After getting to know the software and soundbanks he developed his own unique sound that is typically Jack Stereo. This resulted in his first release in early 2009; it was received well and has been a great introduction for all follow-up records.
