About the author
I’ve been a music hoarder all my life and it was I who coined the phrase: ‘Every genre has something to offer’ (patent pending). My main infatuations are House, Disco, Jazz, Funk, Hip Hop and every subgenre in between. As long as the tunes spark up a euphoric feeling. Writing about Music expresses my passion for the art.

Too many plans for the weekend? Let me narrow down your options by weekly suggesting the events where you can meet, dance and drink with Amsterdam’s finest crowds.

Friday: De Woon/Kamer #5: Maxi Mill & Strange Fruit

If you wanna kick off the weekend exotic during these winter days, head over to Studio/K. Relaxing vibes are ensured, because Maxi Mill will return to the origins with funk, soul and reggae cuts to set the mood. So kick back, relax and

Saturday: Mr. Scruff @ De Marktkantine

I really like this fellow right here. Poster boy Mr. Scruff really is the living embodiment of the proverb ‘never restrict yourself to just one genre’, as he sows different styles together with ease. What’s even greater is that he does so effortfully in extensive sets. This Saturday is no exception: the jack of all trades will be playing an all-nighter at De Marktkantine. It’s exceptional to hear him play certain slow records, which give you the impression of being at a listening party, and switching to more dance tunes from different genres, which make it irresistible to stop your legs from pacing rhythmically across the dance floor.
