Jerry is the name, online is my game. I'm a digital enthusiast, ranging from old skool gaming and Space Invaders to iPads and social media. The integration of digital elements in everyday life and art have my particular interest, and besides that I'm part time rockaholic.

Into The Woods is one of those intimate dreamy festivals that sell out in no time. After four years it’s safe to say the entire festival is a magical experience. We’ve put a spotlight on some artists from Amsterdam and provide you with the perfect reasons to pay a visit to Amersfoort or start hunting on Ticketswap! But maybe last year’s aftermovie is convincing enough by itself:

Patrice Bäumel

Patrice Bäumel often plays b2b with Nuno Dos Santos and they always manage to get those hands in the air. During Next Monday’s Hangover F*CK NYE in 2014 they closed the night with Eric Prydz Private Remix of M83’s Midnight City, and a crazy crowd brought a big smile to Patrice’s face. The same went down on last year’s Buiten Westen, where their set was a perfect mix of wel selected tracks, ongoing vibe and crazy dynamics – special shout-out to their intermezzo with Eric Prydz – Opus (Four Tet Remix). Let’s hope he can do the same on his own at the Takkenstage on Friday!

UNISOL

Also playing the Takkenstage on that same day is UNISOL, a DJ/producer duo formed by Paul Lubbers and Mike Jungerius. Their style can be best described as a hypnotic mix between house and techno with a focus on melody and storytelling. They categorize themselves as making after-hours stuff, and the last couple of years they played in places like Cruquiusgilde, Ruigoord, Studio 80, Closure and on intimate smaller festivals such as Troupe. Have a listen to their set at Welcome To The Future this summer so you know what to expect:

Lola Villa

The Bogotá born, a Buenos Aires bred and a Berlin grown Lola Villa hasn’t been around for that long, but she’s already made a name for herself. Her sound is a profound journey of melodies, a playground of rhythms going beyond genres and boundaries, and that brought her to places like Radion, Buiten Westen, Georgie’s Wuntergarten, several venues in Germany and even Burning Man. Lola is a Slowmotion Club resident as well and Saturday afternoon at the Stekplek stage is where you can enjoy some of her soothing tunes.

Tsepo

This friendly giant can really feel people’s energy and passion, and he’s able to take the crowd from one emotion to the other. Just remember Next Monday’s Hangover during ADE 2015 at the Marktkantine, where he turned the second room upside down with Gala’s Freed From Desire – back before this classic would become forever linked to the Northern Irish Will Grigg who was ‘on fire’ half a year later. Or that moment at DGTL where he was closing his set, just to find out the guys from Adriatique were nowhere to be found. How do you solve that? By playing some killer tracks that keep the crowd going, without doing injustice to your own set or the reputation of the guys that play after you! Let’s see what he has in store for us at the Takkenstage on Saturday.

Polynation

After Weval yet another Amsterdam-based electronic duo manages to surprise with their first (online) album. Steady live gigs with a synthesizer, a computer, some buttons, but what stands out the most is definitely the drum set. A lovely sound to kick back in the sun at the Bevrijdingsfestival in Utrecht, but all the more in the magical forest that is Into The Woods! Don’t miss out on this one, Friday at the Bosspot stage is where you want to be.
