About the author
Jerry is the name, online is my game. I'm a digital enthusiast, ranging from old skool gaming and Space Invaders to iPads and social media. The integration of digital elements in everyday life and art have my particular interest, and besides that I'm part time rockaholic.

Think you have no business in South-East Amsterdam when you don’t live there? Wrong! This Saturday the borough welcomes you to the Dag van 1000 Culturen (Day of 1000 Cultures). A get-together of all the many different cultures of the neighborhood. Sounds too heavy to take the leap over in the metro? Then just do it for the food, as caterers of The World of Food are sharing their quality tastes from all over the world.

… hoolahoop workshops, live music, a great ambiance and all reasons not to visit Zuidoost the day they sample all the crème of the crops.

Get schooled musically, enjoy Black Harmony do traditional Surinam songs a cappella, or get impressed by dance formation TOCSICK who actually made it to the semi-finals of Battle on the Dancefloor. I don’t know about you, but I’m always down to see sleek dance moves and special choreography. The cultural stage houses urban theater group Don’t Hit Mama and youth platform BIJLMERENZO.nl. Workshops are given by local associations, and athletes like John Thijm demonstrate how climbing keeps you fit.
