About the author
I’ve been a music hoarder all my life and it was I who coined the phrase: ‘Every genre has something to offer’ (patent pending). My main infatuations are House, Disco, Jazz, Funk, Hip Hop and every subgenre in between. As long as the tunes spark up a euphoric feeling. Writing about Music expresses my passion for the art.

New name, same concept. Too many plans for the weekend? Let me narrow your options down by weekly suggesting the events where you can meet, dance and drink with Amsterdam’s finest crowds. After all, ‘a hangover ain’t worth the pain if the party is lame’. So here’s where you weekend warriors should go to make it worth your damn hangover.

Friday: MORE BOUNCE @ Bovenkamer Paradiso

It’s Friday, so you wanna get funked up right? More Bounce is a fairly new collective of heavy hitters with an amazing knowledge of funk and all the surrounding genres. This Friday they’re hosting a party in the upper area of Paradiso. The collective consists of four experienced dudes who are above all unified by their love for funk-filled tracks. Packed with a bag of black wax and some inner good vibrations, the DJs and friends will provide you with a night that’ll leave you with a funkin’ hangover. Make sure you’re well prepared; the mix below is a free download!

Saturday: Joost van Bellen @ Disco Dolly

You know it’s time to party when Joost is attending. And it’s all the more festive when he’s behind the turntables himself. The Dam’s legendary DJ superhero is going to light up the Dolly this Saturday with his special ability to make you and the people around you hot and sexy. See you there!

Sunday: Mano Le Tough @ Woodstock

That time of the year has come again; Mano Le Tough is being invited by Horizon to Woodstock in Bloemendaal. His annual visit to the beach has made a name for itself and this year is no exception. Even though the weather is not really forecastable, one thing is for sure: Woodstock is keeping things warm and shiny, regardless of the weather. A day at the beach, immersive synths and deep basslines; it sounds like a great formula, doesn’t it?
