About the author
Jerry is the name, online is my game. I'm a digital enthusiast, ranging from old skool gaming and Space Invaders to iPads and social media. The integration of digital elements in everyday life and art have my particular interest, and besides that I'm part time rockaholic.

Time to forget about the digital era we live in for a while, ’cause analogue knowledge will be traded at De Brakke Grond’s Black Market for Knowledge. From pure science to simple fascination: the Black Market for Knowledge will celebrate our knowledge in the broadest possible sense. Sit down and have a chat or learn practical skills in boot camps for the brain.

Good to know

Do you want to learn more about forgotten, weird, future, intangible of covered-up knowledge? The Black Market offers a hundred eloquent knowledge traders, who’ll be offering a melting pot of information drawn from obscure, elusive, dubious, forgotten and future sources of knowledge. Expect scientists, journalists, artists, trendwatchers, philosophers, actors, entrepreneurs and much more. You can pick your favorites and ask them anything; have a Freemason tell you his biggest secrets, or let the love doctor aid you in your quest for love.

The Black Market for Knowledge will take place in cooperation with various partners, including the University of Amsterdam and Bits of Freedom, and is part of All Future Memories, De Brakke Grond’s theme of the year. Over a period of a year they’ll be investigating the future of our memory.

A ticket gets you four speed dates or one workshop. And if you think you already know everything there is to know (you’re wrong), just stroll around the flea market outside for a drink or a bite!
