Too many plans for the weekend? Let me narrow your options down by weekly suggesting the events where you can meet, dance and drink with Amsterdam’s finest crowds. After all, ‘a hangover ain’t worth the pain if the party is lame’. So here’s where you weekend warriors should go to for next Monday’s hangover.
Saturday: Ryan Elliot & Samuel Deep @ Depot
This is going to be an interesting night! Two artists that you might not suspect teaming up are playing their first b2b session, all night long that is. If you know me, you know that I’m a Ryan Elliot fan girl. He’s one of the only artists that play in both Berghain and Panorama Bar regularly. He switches from smooth to rough with class like no one else. Ryan invited local rockstar Samuel Deep for his PBar debut and they’ve become friends over the past years. I can’t wait to see how their styles are going to mix.
Saturday: Once in a Blue Moon @ Ruigoord
Once in a Blue Moon is Next Monday’s Hangover’s little sister. The organisation felt the desire to create something intimate where they could experiment freely. Expect slow and sexy music, other than you’ve ever heard before. At 1.16699016 × 10^-8 hertz, something unusual happens… Rampue will perform an extended live set in Ruigoord this Saturday, and Some Chemistry and Trippin Jaguar are on the bill as well. ‘We are the makers of music and the dreamers of dreams,’ as Willy Wonka once said, applies here as well.
Saturday: Fade Blank @ Cruquiusgilde
If you are even in doubt about going to Cruquiusgilde I would always suggest you to go for it. Every time I’m at the cozy warehouse things seem to get out of hand, in a good way. This Saturday I would advise you to go there even more than usual. Fade Blank invited Dr. Rubinstein, Andrea and Viktor Palmer to play. If you want to be challenged by interesting, dark and twisted music (just the way I like it), this is your night.
Be sure to check out BONANZA and KERK as well! An then of course you could stand in line and check out Ben UFO and Job Jobse or Bambounou, Jasper Wolff & Maarten Mittendorff and Deniro in De School.
