This coming Saturday the Zuiderkerk plays host to the international whisky festival The Spirit Of Amsterdam. An event aimed to celebrate, deepen our knowledge and passion and taste whisky in all its glorious forms.
That’s the Spirit!
Imagine a festival offering over 500 different whiskies and whiskeys to taste and smell, music to tap your feet to, food to feed the belly and an atmospheric place filled with stories of whisky. Boy oh boy, it’s happening!
The third edition of the festival is split into two tasting sessions, an afternoon and an evening session, that allows guests to savor and sip a variety of whiskies. Upon arrival every guest is given an authentic whisky nose and tasting glass, engraved with Glencairn; the perfect way to smell and try all the free whiskies.
The festival takes place in the Zuiderkerk, centrally located in Amsterdam. They are offering a whisky canal cruise as well! It’ll offer up six of the finest single malts paired with cheese (a match made in heaven). They’ve created the ‘Amsterdram’ method of payment, to allow visitors to buy the more exclusive whiskeys available. Tickets are still available via their website.
