About the author
Born and raised in Amsterdam, lives to dance and dances to live on electronic music, has a small vinyl addiction, appreciates a little sarcasm now and then, thinks musicals are annoying and loves those moments where you lose track of time completely.

Amsterdam Dance Event is my favorite sleepless week of the year. I’ve been going there since I was 15 and will try to go there until the end of time. It is also a week of great dilemmas. 80 venues and over 2000 artists are participating. How the hell do you choose between all those amazing parties? That’s where I come in. Let me tell you where you party people should go to this ADE.

LET 5YR Anniversary @ Closure

LET is turning 5 this year as their first party ever was on ADE’s Sunday in 2010. What started out as a party for friends in Club Up has now turned into something to be very proud off. After amazing parties in Trouw, LET continues stronger as ever with the start of their own imprint and parties in new venues such as Cruquiusgilde, OT301 and – of course – Closure, where they will celebrate their birthday. They’ve invited Steffi and Martyn to do an exclusive three-hour b2b set. Mike Servito, Molly, Deniro and resident in chief JP Enfant (who did the first LET release) are performing as well. There will also be an intimate event in Café Struik across the street, where some close LET friends will play and you can have some drinks.

Maeve x Something Happening Somewhere @ De Marktkantine

Next Monday’s Hangover is collaborating with De Marktkantine on ADE’s Sunday. This combination proves to be golden because they invited Maeve and Something Happening Somewhere. These labels are a quality guarantee and they’ll bring their best artists with them. Mano Le Tough, Baikal, The Drifter, Alex Smoke, Gilb’r, Nuno Dos Santos, Love over Entropy and Tsepo are on the bill. On top of that Job Jobse and Jennifer Cardini are doing a b2b set. You know you’ll close ADE in style if you decide to go here. ☾

MyHouse x Our Society @ Radion

Even though Radion is pretty far away this ADE will be worth the long bike ride. MyHouse and Our Society are teaming up and provided you with one hell of a line-up. Moodymann, GE-OLOGY and Young Marco will perform, Marcel Vogel will do a b2b session with Mr. Mendel and both the MyHouse (Berend, Daan, Erik and Jeroen) and Our Society (Wendel Sield and Pierre August) sound systems are present as well. Dancing your ass off won’t be an option, it will be a given. And when the party is over you can go and cry yourself to sleep because the Amsterdam Dance Event has officially ended and now you have to wait another year again for this lovely madness.
