Nadia is my name. Sarcasm is my game. You're always in for a treat.

For the last month, I’v been lurking around the Dam while frolicking around concerts, and festivals. I wanted to find some new music for my ears while also checking out other artists I have been wanting to see live! So.. I have decided to pick out and share the ones I think are definitely worth your time, and also making their way over to Amsterdam. Here are some of my picks!

Major Lazer

WOW. I saw these guys at Lowlands and from the minute they got on stage till the end of their set, not once did everyone stop dancing like an animal. I walked out of the tent to grab a drink and watched girls everywhere grab on to whatever they could so they could drop it low like the world was about to end. These guys know how to put on a show! If you’re a single girl that just broke up with her boyfriend and wants to get wild, I suggest you round up your girlfriends and make it a BROWN out night and see Major Lazer. You won’t regret it.

Major Lazer

Low Roar

All the way from Iceland, these guys have a unique way of putting together different instruments. And by unique I mean beautiful. If you like Pinback or Radiohead, you will really like these guys. Something to listen to on a sunny day while catching up on some R&R!

Low Roar

José González

Man, I love this guy. I didn’t want him to get off the stage. I could have sat on the grass all day with a beer in my hand and not move. This is some straight picnic music! There is something about folk music that puts me at ease and makes a bad mood into a good mood.

José González

When: November 22, 20:00
Where: Paradiso, Weteringschans 6-8
Tickets: 22,50 | Here

Sandrien

All I can say is vibing. I attended Mysteryland and was on my way to see another DJ, when I got sucked into this little corner and couldn’t leave. Let’s just say I never made it. This chick had everyone on the same level. Amsterdam native, so if you live here you will always be able to catch her. Sandrien will also be playing every day during ADE.

Sandrien

When: October 16, 22:00 – 05:00
Where: Melkweg, Lijnbaansgracht 234/a

Joey Bada$$

In my opinion it’s VERY hard to come buy good rap or hip hop music these days. Joey Bada$$ is one of the few out there I actually really like. His sound and style mimics the ‘golden age’. I have no complaints here!
