Too many plans for the weekend? Let me narrow your options down by weekly suggesting the events where you can meet, dance and drink with Amsterdam’s finest crowds. After all, ‘a hangover ain’t worth the pain if the party is lame’. So here’s where you weekend warriors should go to for next Monday’s hangover.
Friday: Prisma @ Studio 80
It seems like ages ago since the last Prisma and I couldn’t be happier my favorite party in Studio 80 is back. Prisma explores the complex, artistic, deeper side of techno like no other party can. Petar Dundov is playing which I’m extremely excited about. I still have goosebumps when I think of the amazing set he did in De Verdieping in 2014. Personal favorite Patrice Baumel will spin as well, along side residents Some Chemistry, Florinsz Javier and UNISOL. See you Friday!
Saturday: Carpe Noctem @ Ruigoord
The last time I went to a party in Ruigoord things totally escalated. Partying in a church just makes you go all out, I guess. This Saturday Lotgenoten is organising Carpe Noctem (which means seize the night) has put together an insane line-up together with Nuno Dos Santos’ label Something Happening Somewhere. Nuno will do a b2b set with Jennifer Cardini. This Correspondant lady has blown my mind so many times. Kiani & his Legion, Love over Entropy, Sigward and Pieter Jansen are on the bill as well.
Saturday: Bonanza @ Canvas
Did you know that Canvas has recently assigned residents to the club? This Saturday it’s time for the first edition from Max Abysmal. His party is called BONANZA, which means digging for gold. He invited the Australian Bell Towers to present you with obscure, goosebump-raising gems. Go check this out, and have a cocktail at the massive Canvas bar while you’re at it.
Sunday: Mokum is op drift @ Cruquiusgilde
Omar S is playing at my favourite place in Amsterdam. Enough said.
Check out Atlas in Chicago Social Club as well people!
