Born and raised in Amsterdam, lives to dance and dances to live on electronic music, has a small vinyl addiction, appreciates a little sarcasm now and then, thinks musicals are annoying and loves those moments where you lose track of time completely.

Too many plans for the weekend? Let me narrow your options down by weekly suggesting the events where you can meet, dance and drink with Amsterdam’s finest crowds. After all, ‘a hangover ain’t worth the pain if the party is lame’. So here’s where you weekend warriors should go to for next Monday’s hangover.

Saturday: Kommune @ Ruigoord

I’ve had such a good time during Kommune a few weeks ago in Cruquiusgilde. The music was great and the vibe was even better. I ended up going there with people I met a couple of hours earlier and made even more new friends when I got there. This Saturday they’re taking it to the next level by going to Ruigoord. There’s just something about dancing in a church. Eduardo De La Calle, Interstellar Funk, Nathan Surreal and UNISOL will provide you with tunes. See you there people.

Saturday: Tribes @ Canvasopde7e

This Saturday you can dance to music that will be provided by Amsterdam talent only: Spaceandtime, Tsepo and Agri Culture. Seeing this line-up made me a little proud I’m from the Dam. Spaceandtime consists of Aron Friendman and Eric de Man and they’re on fire. Tsepo was a resident at the club I will not name (because it still hurts) and hasn’t stopped when the doors closed, on the contrary. Agri Culture is one to watch. Join the tribe!

Sunday: Horizon & Kaap @ Woodstock

This is going to be one of those Sundays you’re going to remember for a long time, mark my words. Two of my favorite parties around are joining forces this Sunday. And they’re even going to my favorite beach club. Doesn’t get any better than this. Oh wait, it does. Because the line-up is awesome. Job Jobse, Mr.Ties and Discodromo are playing. I’m basically in love with the music all these artists play. Can’t wait to dance in the sand.

Check out VOLTT, Mysteryland and VBX as well!
