Or the way I look at it; hot bad boys with long hair who smoke pot and ride all day… I’m kidding. Even though some of it might be true sometimes, you might want to look a little more into it.
Skateboarding competitions and demos, a ‘Tricks for Cash’ contest and signing sessions.
It’s been around for quite some time now. Almost 40 years. It has developed into a global phenomenon. People don’t realize that it exemplifies the values of sportsmanship, dedication, perseverance, and determination. My circle of guy friends were dedicated skateboarders, and I have watched them grown up into fine young men. Like they say, don’t judge a book by its cover. That being said! If you love skateboarding, or want to have some fun this weekend, the Mountain Dew Tour Am Series is gracing us with their presence! This weekend, the Museumplein will feature skateboarding competitions, a ‘Tricks for Cash’ contest, signing sessions, and demos with Jordan Maxham, Sean Malto and Chris Colbourn.
To kick the weekend off, Mountain Dew is rolling out their green carpet at Tuschinski on Friday, premiering the film We Are Blood. I highly suggest checking this one out. Especially if any of those thoughts above were one of the first things that came to mind. The film features Paul Rodrigues and others, as they travel the globe pushing their limits to what is possible with their boards.
Brazil, China, Spain, Dubai and the U.S. are some of the spots where they celebrate their journey and help people understand what skateboarding is really about.
