The Darling and Lucky Lake host mini festival

Hi, I'm Sophia, a fiery redhead in the wondrous world of Amsterdam. I find my joy in singing, good food, cocktails, cute hidden places in our city and talking to crazy, inspiring and creative people.

The owners of the cutest shop in the world, The Darling, and the Lucky Lake Hostel have an end of summer surprise for us! The two are collaborating in organizing a small, intimate and creative event, for which Lucky Lake arranged a beautiful outdoor area at the Vinkeveense Plassen.

Cozy campers, hammocks, music, food and beers.

After cycling all the way over there, you could go on a relaxing boat ride or even get a ‘body stress release massage’, send a postcard home -since every place that’s not Amsterdam feels like the other end of the world- while listening to a live band or shake your booty to the kicks and snares of some DJ beats. So, if you feel like escaping the buzz of the inner city, but don’t want to travel too far, this is the perfect getaway for a day. Expect cozy campers, hammocks, music, food and tasty beers.

The entire festival is being organized by volunteers who live off peace, love and rainbows, so entrance is free! There will be a possibility to donate at the spot, which I think will give you good karma (and chance of another festival next year). The festival terrain is a nice bike ride away, but Lucky Lake will also arrange buses to chauffeur you from the festival to Holendrecht station, pickup every hour.
