About the author
Born and raised in Amsterdam, lives to dance and dances to live on electronic music, has a small vinyl addiction, appreciates a little sarcasm now and then, thinks musicals are annoying and loves those moments where you lose track of time completely.

Too many plans for the weekend? Let me narrow your options down by weekly suggesting the events where you can meet, dance and drink with Amsterdam’s finest crowds. After all, ‘a hangover ain’t worth the pain if the party is lame’. So here’s where you weekend warriors should go to for next Monday’s hangover.

Saturday: LET @ Closure

LET resident-in-chief JP Enfant is having a sexy all-nighter in Closure this Saturday. This guy has been on a roll lately. His first EP on his own label LET Recordings is amazing and Ben Klock, Daniel Avery and RØDHÅD have been playing his tracks. JP loves to play long sets which you can totally hear in the recording of his all-nighter in Trouw last year. Being able to tell a deeper story while pushing your own boundaries is what makes an all-nighter interesting for JP, and for us. Been looking forward for this one for a while!

Saturday: Morgenavond @ Canvasopde7e

Morgen.am has been providing Amsterdam with sophisticated tunes for a while now. For the next morgen.ep Francesco Robustelli, Camiel Daamen, Malbetrieb, David Hülsken did a special collaboration with Ion Ludwig on remix duty, and they are celebrating this Saturday in Canvas. The EP is supported by Sebastian Mullaert (aka Minilogue), Ivan Smagghe, East End Dubs and Len Faki already. Come and dance, and abuse the massive alcohol supply the Canvas bar has to offer.

Saturday: Breakfast Club @ Contactweg

The king of all after parties is throwing a mini festival this Saturday. Breakfast Club doesn’t really need an introduction anymore. Those who have been there know they want to check this one out. Jaime Frias, Tommy Kornuijt, Metropolis, Brent Roozendaal, Tom Liem, Henrik Bergqvist and Noah Gibson are providing you with tunes. Are you looking forward to having breakfast as much as I am?
