About the author
Born and raised in Amsterdam, lives to dance and dances to live on electronic music, has a small vinyl addiction, appreciates a little sarcasm now and then, thinks musicals are annoying and loves those moments where you lose track of time completely.

Too many plans for the weekend? Let me narrow your options down by weekly suggesting the events where you can meet, dance and drink with Amsterdam’s finest crowds. After all, ‘a hangover ain’t worth the pain if the party is lame’. So here’s where you weekend warriors should go to for next Monday’s hangover.

Saturday: Konstrukt @ Studio 80

For me, not a lot of things in this world match up to dancing to quality techno, in an intimate setting, in my favorite city. This is exactly what will happen this Saturday in Studio 80. Konstrukt and Semantica Records bring us Svreca, Stanislav Tolkachev, Cio D’Or, Doka and SHLTR. My advice? Get there early so you can experience all of these artists. They are worth it, trust me.

Sunday: VBX @ Cruquiusgilde

Cruquiusgilde is hot. The vibe has been compared to Trouw multiple times. This intimate warehouse with its uneven floor seems as if it reincarnated from Berin. This Sunday VBX is hosting a 15 hour party there. VBX is always a guarantee for an awesome night. Evan Baggs, Terje Bakke, Reiss, Jamie Lie A Kwie and Herra will perform for you. Cruquiusgilde only fits about 250 people so don’t wait too long with buying a ticket.

Sunday: ZeeZout at the beach /w DJ Harvey @ Woodstock’69

DJ Harvey is a legend. Period. He doesn’t need an introduction. Everyone should at least hear him play once. This Sunday he’ll play at the lovely Woodstock. What’s better than a DJ Harvey set with an ocean view? That’s right. Nothing. Tijn Benedek and Halve Soul will perform as well. The fact that I’ll be partying my ass off at Fusion Festival in Germany almost makes me sad, because this is going to be an epic day people.

Check out Down The Rabbit Hole as well people!
