New name, same concept. Too many plans for the weekend? Let me narrow your options down by weekly suggesting the events where you can meet, dance and drink with Amsterdam’s finest crowds. After all, ‘a hangover ain’t worth the pain if the party is lame’. So here’s where you weekend warriors should go to make it worth your damn hangover.

Friday: XXX @ Closure

The lovely disco duo SHMLSS, that always knows how to put a smile on my face with its sets, is launching its brand new online vinyl label XXX in Closure this Friday. They’ve invited space-disco king Prins Thomas. He really impressed me in De Natte Cel in December and in Radion a month ago. The fact that he plays in our city more and more these days makes me a happy girl. Je Dàvu (a.k.a Melon) is playing as well. This one is going to be really fun guys, see you there?

Saturday: Mind @ Radion

Remember when I said I had such a great time dancing to Prins Thomas last month? Well, that was during the kick off of Mind, a new party curated by Reza Athar. This party is all about making you dance but pleasing the mind with music as well. This month Ivan Smagghe is playing. I had the chance to talk to him last year and he is one intriguing guy. He’s stubborn and it’s hard to fit his music into one style. I love music like that. Phil Kieran is performing, as well as Reza himself.

Saturday: HYTE @ Elementenstraat

For one month HYTE has been bringing quality artists to Amsterdam. Saturday is the official closing party with VBX and the line-up is everything you thought it would be. Ricardo Villalobos, Sonja Moonear, Fred P., DeWalta, Beesmunt Soundsystem and Makcim will blow your mind. Time for some proper warehouse madness!

Saturday: Club Kabinet @ North Sea Jazz Club

The North Sea Jazz club is one of those venues that is really intimate and has a great sound system. I experienced some epic Dekmantel parties there. You probably know Lente Kabinet. This awesome event still far away but this club night is an early pre-party. And boy, it will be good. Legend Andrew Weatherall, Optimo, Maurice Fulton and Jan van Kampen will provide you with tunes that will definitely be worth your hangover.
