About the author
Born and raised in Amsterdam, lives to dance and dances to live on electronic music, has a small vinyl addiction, appreciates a little sarcasm now and then, thinks musicals are annoying and loves those moments where you lose track of time completely.

Too many plans for the weekend? Let me narrow your options down by weekly suggesting the events where you can meet, dance and drink with Amsterdam’s finest crowds. After all, ‘a hangover ain’t worth the pain if the party is lame’. So here’s where you weekend warriors should go to for next Monday’s hangover.

Friday: PRISMA @ Studio 80

Do I dare say that PRISMA is my favourite club concept in the lovely Studio 80? I think I do because PRISMA “explores the futuristic, complex, artistic, deeper side of techno.” If that doesn’t sound amazing I don’t know what does to be honest. This Friday Christian Löffler and Krink will perform live and Some Chemistry, Jorn Liefdeshuis and Unisol will play as well. Don’t be square, be a triangle; see you there! ▲ ▲ ▲ ▲ ▲ Yay, triangles!

Saturday: Trutjes @ Canvasopde7e

How do you translate ‘trutjes’ in English? I have no idea, but what I do know is that Trutjes is a very nice party to spend your Saturday night. The new Canvasopde7e is so pretty, Beesmunt Soundsystem will be playing a 3 hour set and Maximiljan will play as well. Want to join me and my vodka lime on the 7th floor and enjoy the view, music and good vibes?

Sunday: LET – Final Trouw edition @ Trouw

All my favourite parties (such as LET) are starting to have their ‘final Trouw edition’ which is SAD. But let’s not mourn what cannot be stopped but let’s celebrate while we still can. Les Enfants Terribles has invited DJ Sprinkles and Joe Claussell who will be performing together for the first time in Europe this Sunday. Could there be a better ending to LET’s Trouw residency? Probably not. Because “The worst has yet to come!”
