Too many plans for the weekend? Let me narrow your options down by weekly suggesting the events where you can meet, dance and drink with Amsterdam’s finest crowds. After all, ‘a hangover ain’t worth the pain if the party is lame’. So here’s where you weekend warriors should go to for next Monday’s hangover.
Friday: SEKOIA Streaming Session @ Tunemelt
SEKOIA is one of the best communities to discover amazing music. This Friday evening you can dance to lovely tunes that are carefully selected by the SEKOIA family. It’s free and there is some free booze available as well. There is limited space though so if you want to be a part of this you should send the SEKOIA Facebook page a private message and they’ll check if there’s still room for you. And if it’s full you can still enjoy through Tunemelt’s live broadcast.
Saturday, Sunday: CLUB NIGHT WEEKENDER HOSTED BY MAKAM @ Trouw
Trouw weekenders are always legendary. Always. Whether you go on Saturday, Sunday or both, you’ll be provided with quality music. This one is hosted my Makam and Ryan Elliott, Benny Rodrigues, Boris Werner, Tom Ruijg & Efdé, Job Jobse, Tape DJ’s, Yossi Amoyal, Olaf Boswijk, Nina Kraviz, Sterac aka Steve Rachmad, Dekmantel Soundsystem, Serge, Kabale und Liebe, Melon, Awanto3, William Kouam Djoko and Makam himself will play. Damn. I’ll make sure I’ll be there this weekend. At the least to check out Nina Kraviz (my secret girl crush) on Sunday.
Sunday: Thuishaven Closing @ Thuishaven area
Thuishaven is closing, so summer is officially coming to an end. Which is a sad, sad, sad thing. Even more reason to party like there’s no tomorrow this Sunday. Luna City Express, De Sluwe Vos, Eelke Kleijn, Arjuna Schiks, Darko Esser and Cat Carpenters will make sure you won’t regret it and will make your hangover on Monday worth it.
