Is there a better combination than Horizon, Mano Le Tough and Woodstock ’69?

About the author
Born and raised in Amsterdam, lives to dance and dances to live on electronic music, has a small vinyl addiction, appreciates a little sarcasm now and then, thinks musicals are annoying and loves those moments where you lose track of time completely.

I can honestly say that I have a new favourite party. Horizon brings you amazing quality music you won’t hear anywhere else, attracts beautiful people and always has an amazing dark but open vibe. This Sunday Horizon won’t take place in a dark club but during the day in a lovely beach club. I don’t think there could be a better combination than Woodstock ’69 and Mano Le Tough. You can win something pretty cool, read more about it at the end of this article!

Horizon brings the unknown to Amsterdam

One of the reasons I like horizon so much is that the concept behind it is pretty cool. When I spoke to Reza Athar, one of the initiators and residents of Horizon. He explained me that the idea for Horizon was born for a love for DJs who hardly play in the Netherlands, that have an international cult status. These are DJs that don’t really match today’s thinking, that’s why they don’t get booked for big parties here. This means that when you’ll go to Horizon you’ll hear music that you’ll probably won’t hear anywhere else soon. I can honestly say that I’ve discovered music that I otherwise wouldn’t have.

I’ve seen amazing artists such as Ivan Smaghhe (who I had a nice chat with as well), Jennifer Cardini, Massimiliano Pagliara and nd_baumecker on previous editions. You might know them if you’re really into it. If not I strongly recommend you to check them out. It’ll be worth it, trust me. What all these artists have in common is that they’re not afraid to go on a discovery when they play. It’s not so much genre they have in common but a sensual impact they have on the dance floor.

Woodstock ’69 and Mano Le Tough

It makes me extremely happy that my new favourite party will take place at my favourite beach club this Sunday. I danced on electronic music for the first time in Woodstock ’69 so I’ll always have a weak spot for this club. Mano Le Tough is amazing and doesn’t really need an introduction in my opinion. His music speaks for himself anyway. He will be supported by Pieter Jansen and Mick Benjamins. You don’t want to miss this people!

Winning

Normally I’m not a big fan of special offers where you can win things. It usually has something to do with spamming your Facebook friends for a really small chance of actually winning something. This one is different. And awesome. You have a chance to win a guestlist spot for you and your friends. Oh, and free drinks, dinner and bitterballen at the beach. Send a private message to the Horizon Facebook page and tell them your most amazing Woodstock and/or Mano Le Tough moment. When you win they’ll contact you. See you there!
