About the author
Born and raised in Amsterdam, lives to dance and dances to live on electronic music, has a small vinyl addiction, appreciates a little sarcasm now and then, thinks musicals are annoying and loves those moments where you lose track of time completely.

Too many plans for the weekend? Let me narrow your options down by weekly suggesting the events where you can meet, dance and drink with Amsterdam’s finest crowds. After all, ‘a hangover ain’t worth the pain if the party is lame’. So here’s where you weekend warriors should go to for next Monday’s hangover.

Friday: HEET & REBELS @ Chicago Social Club

Something a little different than usual. No sophisticated house or techno this week. This Friday something naughty, happy, hot and rebellious will go down in the Chicago Social Club. Prepare yourself for hits and pumping house in the club area and hip hop and other twerking and daggering provoking music at the bar. I’m a sucker for guilty pleasures, especially when there’s vodka involved. Given the fact that there will be a leopard decorated booth, I’m pretty sure I’ll enjoy myself.

Heet en Rebels

Friday: The Great Escape @ Studio 80

Time for another one of Detroit Swindle’s night in Studio 80. These guys are awesome and they invited the equally awesome Art of Tones to play this Friday. Extreme danceable house guaranteed. If you like busting disco moves, like me, you’ll feel right at home at Studio 2 where Marcel Vogel will play some tunes. There’ll be a very special secret guest as well, and I already know who it is. I can’t tell you but trust me; you do not want to miss this one.

Saturday, Sunday: PINKSTEREN WEEKENDER @ Trouw

This will be the last Trouw weekender until September so I highly recommend you to go to this one, because Trouw weekenders are always legendary. LET will work together with Nachtdigital and Aspirations on this one. There’s an opportunity to win tickets for the extraordinary festival and there will be an amazing line-up. Efdemin, Norm Talley and Eric Cloutier to name a few. Another nice fact is that for the first time in history the Trouw terras will be open during a party. See you there!

LET

If I would have more time I totally would’ve recommended you to go to Pixel, Amsterdam Open Air, Horizon, Click at the beach and LA RÊVE. Just saying.
