They say the older you get, the wiser you get. And let me be honest, if there’s one thing I do know now, it’s that everyone has a story to tell. Ok, they’re not always the most inspiring stories ever, but I truly believe that people always have an element of surprise in them; an ability to catch you off guard with something spectacular. Precisely this, is what triggered Sebastiaan Wubben to kickstart Blancolour and share these stories through intimate mini-workshops.
It’s about letting others experience the expertise and passion of a certain individual.
Sebastiaan’s genuine interest in people is what gave him the idea to start organising the Blancolour events. A physiotherapist by day, he often meets people who have the most extraordinary hobbies you’d never expect from them. Shedding a light on these fascinations is the foundation for Blancolour. It’s about letting others experience the expertise and passion of a certain individual and giving the visitor a story to tell themselves.
The most recent session was with a comic strip artist, but the speakers range from a fanatic birdwatcher to an inspiring woman who is deaf but can now hear again, from a bronzed-up bodybuilder to a wine connaisseur. Each session kicks off with a personal interview and interesting insights into this person’s passion. Then it’s time for the ‘workshop’ element; interaction is key for these events. I can personally say, you’ll be very surprised as to what you can learn during one afternoon.
Upcoming Blancolour events:
Birdwatching (2nd edition) – May 4th
