Too many plans for the weekend? Let me narrow down your options by suggesting some events where you can meet, dance and drink with Amsterdam’s finest crowds. After all, ‘a hangover ain’t worth the pain if the party is lame’. Here’s where you weekend warriors should go to for next Monday’s hangover.

Friday: CookieClub @ AIR

This Friday, the CookieClub returns to AIR, featuring a killer line-up. Frontrunner in the game Mario Basanov is supported by ‘Dutch pride’ so expect good things. Since his break-through in 2011 with the delicate and charming ensemble called Mario & Vidis, Mario Basanov stated he was one of the key players in the game for steady outputs of quality house and disco music. The Lithuanian artist has been linked with numerous Innervisions records and artist pseudonyms over the past year. This Friday is about warm music, accompanied by Homework, Cleavage and WNDWLCKRS.

Saturday: Cosmin TRG & Efdemin all night long @ Trouw

On Friday, Trouw invites two great DJ/producers from Berlin. The first, Romanian born, Berlin based producer Cosmin TRG, one of the most important innovators of the dance industry. At this point in time you’ll find him honing a ghostly, sketchy techno blueprint that fuses shuffling drums with eerie synths, snatched vocals-as-instruments and strains of Detroit and Chicago classicism. The second, Efdemin, I’ve started to appreciate more and more over the past years. The guy has some serious producing skills if you ask me, just have a listen to his old anthem ‘Bergwein‘ or his Stick to My Side remix for Pantha Du Prince. Both of them, together, all night long.

Saturday: Tomorrow Is Now, Kid! @ Studio 80

Finally, Tomorrow Is Now Kid! (TINK!) is kicking off a new year at ‘the black box’ with extended hours and a special line-up. TINK!, as you may know, is a record label, event organization and analog & digital studio. TINK! basically sees the convergence of music, the internet and events as the ultimate opportunity to bring music to people. This time, they’ve invited West Norwood Cassette Library, Murphy Jax, Kid Sublime, Lazare Hoche, Malin Genie and hosts for the night Alex Salvador & Hellie Berry.
