Too many plans for the weekend? Let me narrow down your options by suggesting some events where you can meet, dance and drink with Amsterdam’s finest crowds. After all, ‘a hangover ain’t worth the pain if the party is lame’. Here’s where you weekend warriors should go to for next Monday’s hangover.

Friday: De Nachtdivisie – We worden 2 jaar oud! @ Chicago Social Club

This Friday is a monumental moment in the life of the De Nachtdivisie. After 24 editions, it’s time to celebrate their 2 year anniversary at their headquarters called the Chicago Social Club. So many nice memories, musical highlights and epic hangovers. Specially for this evening, all the residents will be present to shine and play their favourite classics of the past two years. And get very drunk.

Saturday: ZAUER KITCHEN @ Westergasterras

Zauer Kitchen invites artists who perform contemporary electronic music in a different light. People who push their own musical boundaries. So, expect musical combinations with artists and musicians from unexpected angles. This, combined with the relaxed vibe of the Westergasterras indicates the beginning of a new Saturday, a flavourful monthly boost to our city’s nightlife. For this edition Daniel Zuur invited his friends Mees Dierdorp (with a Chef’s special set) and Jefte (doing a Birthday set). No musts, everything goes.

Saturday: R-Rated Memories – The Paul Verhoeven art tribute @ Roest

R-rated memories, everybody has some of these. We celebrate this sexual content, language and brief drug use this Saturday at Roest Amsterdam which is hosted it’s own R-rated memories. You can expect Art and Music dedicated to Paul Verhoeven who is known for movies like Basic Instinct, Robocop, Zwartboek, Showgirls, Total Recall and Turks Fruit. All of this, accompanied by a decent expo of his movies and beats by Setisound, MikeyNice and our fella Stijn Sadée.

Saturday: CLUB GODVERDOMME @ MC Theater

CLUB GODVERDOMME is BandjeBandje’s domain. Last edition took place at the CSC, this time they head towards the western part of town. The place to be: MC Theater. The menu for this one consists of a variety of artists you might have heard of, like the well-respected Young Marco and Interstellar Funk, supported by Renkas and De Pin Up Club. 2nd area invites a list of newcomers performing their 30 minute debut DJ-sets. Interesting, as always. Keep an eye on the Oompa Loompa DJ-team, fun, fun, fun.
