Too many plans for the weekend? Let me narrow down your options by suggesting some events where you can meet, dance and drink with Amsterdam’s finest crowds. After all, ‘a hangover ain’t worth the pain if the party is lame’. Here’s where you weekend warriors should go to for next Monday’s hangover.

Friday: ZeeZout w/ Krystal Klear & Citizen @ Chicago Social Club

Our friends from the ZeeZout factory are back in town for another one of their get-togethers at the Chicago Social Club. For the last ZeeZout edition of the year they’ve invited two up and coming house talents from the UK. Once again it’s all about filthy, sexy, funky, house and disco music with Krystal Klear in the spotlights accompanied by his tea drinking colleague called Citizen. Of course, enough Dutch talent in the house to complete this night of sweaty comfort with Halve Soul, Tijn Benedek, Philou Louzolo and Robinson Boogie.

Saturday: DRUKPERS FEAT. BARNT / JOB JOBSE / LUC MAST / OPTIMO @ Trouw

Barnt, being a core member of the collectives Cómeme, Cologne Tape, Magazine and Zeit 2, is a key figure in the musical output of the Cologne-based labels. You all know him for last year’s controversial hit song ‘Geffen’. This Saturday he plays in Trouw together with his friends Job Jobse and Luc Mast. Which basically means quality music in the house. Downstairs, at De Verdieping, expect something a bit edgier with Optimo. Something for everyone, everyone for something.

Tuesday: Gold Panda – Half Of Where You Live @ Trouw

Usually, Tuesday’s not your ordinary party day, but sometimes it’s good to step outside your daily life. Why? GOLD PANDA! That’s why. The London sound wizard is back in Amsterdam for a special show in Trouw. His melodic and danceable tracks are perfect for a spectacular live show, as I recall from seeing him during Pitch Festival, 5 Days Off and Melkweg not too long ago. His new album was highly anticipated and well-received, so this would be your chance to experience his new material through some serious speakers. Support comes from Berlin’s Infinite Livez. Enjoy the belated hangover.
