Unseen photo fair had its first run last year. With lots of big galleries and great work it had to be a great success for the galleries to return and the festival to survive into the next year. Guess what happened.

Last year was a grand mixture of different styles of photography and great work. Too bad for the Libelle-crowd during the weekend though, this year new galleries like Aperture Foundation (New York) and Pobeda (Moscow) are added. Galleries you should visit this year are LhGWR, for their constant spotting of new emerging talent. Flatland, for their constant quality and big names, and The Photographers Gallery for their classic work.

A new trend is possibly arising, a couple of years ago I visited Paris Photo where you could see photographers adding physical material to photos like embroideries. This year at Unseen it looks like you can see how this trend has evolved. Let’s see what else we can get inspired by. The festival has its own app where you can browse through the photos which will be on display. You can even create your own collection; view mine here or download the app here.
