Too many plans for the weekend? Let me narrow down your options by suggesting some events where you can meet, dance and drink with Amsterdam’s finest crowds. After all, ‘a hangover ain’t worth the pain if the party is lame’. Here’s where you weekend warriors should go to for next Monday’s hangover.

Friday: The Holiday @ Studio 80

“Special tour guides will be taking you on a journey from beaches to jungles, trough time and space. Lee Curtiss (Visionquest, USA) happily welcomes you on board of the Studio 80 cruise, get ready for some waves!” Support comes from an en vogue collective of Amsterdam’s house connoisseurs: William Kouam Djoko, Elias Mazian, KERK! and Tim Hoeben.

Saturday: Symphonica Elektronica Sweat @ Utrecht

We don’t venture out of Amsterdam a lot but for this nice festival in Amsterdam’s unofficial suburb Utrecht (yes yes) we will make an exception. A great line-up at a beautiful industrial venue, feating artists such as Jackmaster, Redshape and Barnt, plus a wide range of local heroes. Festival programmer Maarten Pordon came out with some sad news earlier this week about his ticket sales, which in a cruel way is good news for us party goers. The price has been cut in half, which means two people get in on one ticket. You will never see a line-up like this so cheap ever again. Read more about this move here.

Sunday: STRAF_WERK Festival

No your party weekend does not stop after Saturday, that’s not how we roll here in Amsterdam. Deep house promoter STRAF_WERK has its very first festival ever planned, with a huge line-up including David August, Noir, Dusky, Audiojack and Luis Leon amongst others. Three main stages, twenty-one DJs and only 100 tickets left. Don’t punish yourself by missing out people!
