Too many plans for the weekend? Let me narrow down your options by suggesting some events where you can meet, dance and drink with Amsterdam’s finest crowds. After all, ‘a hangover ain’t worth the pain if the party is lame’. Here’s where you weekend warriors should go to for next Monday’s hangover.

Friday: Swtbox @ Trouw

SWTBOX is the clubnight of Trouw resident Nuno Dos Santos. SWTBOX is about creating a home for all those who love to give 100% on the dance floor, all night long. For those who follow their legs and hips instead of trendy music blogs. For those who come to a club in order to give, not take. For those who love to lose themselves in a sensory overload of mind-bending sounds, strobes, sweat, bodies and the surreal visuals of VJ Arnout Hulskamp. Full throttle. SWTBOX, this time featuring a special live set by The Persuader aka Jesper Dahlbäck together with his mate Psycatron, both from the wonderful town called Stockholm. Of course, Nuno dos Santos will be there to host the rest of the night.

Friday: Holiday @ Studio 80

“Everybody needs a Holiday every now and then. No obligations, no boss or teachers breathing down your neck, just you, a group of like-minded people and a location that feels like a home away from home. Special tour guides will be asked to take you on a journey from beaches to jungles, through time and space. On this first Holiday, Radio Slave will be wishing you a nice flight aboard Studio 80 airways.” No matter what sounds you profess to be your music of choice, chances are that at some point over the last five years, you have gotten your rocks off to Matt Edwards aka Radio Slave. Supported by Rouge Mécanique from France and local heroes Chris Julien, RAAF & ABSURD. This one might be worth dancing to all night.

Saturday: Trouw Loves Nachtdigital @ Trouw

A question that tends to get asked here and there on club nights is “what festivals are you going to this summer?” In lots of cases the answer is Nachtdigital, nice and intimate, you know. To get an idea of what music to expect at this festival, go to Trouw this Saturday and listen to Roman Flügel and Steffen Bennemann, supplemented by Efdemin and Manamana downstairs at De Verdieping. Nothing else but quality music folks. Enjoy the hangovers.
