Too many plans for the weekend? Let me narrow down your options by suggesting some events where you can meet, dance and drink with Amsterdam’s finest crowds. After all, ‘a hangover ain’t worth the pain if the party is lame’. Here’s where you weekend warriors should go to for next Monday’s hangover.

Friday: Tropical Techno @ Chicago Social Club

Bandje Bandje starts the weekend in Amsterdam with Tropical Techno. With an exciting line-up featuring Permanent Vacation’s recording artist and one of the men behind the Passion Beat parties, The Drifter. Several mega-talents in the game of electronics will be supporting the event, like Rush Hour’s Young Marco, Olaf Stuut and Cardboard Motel. The bar will be hosted by Tropical Disco, who will surely bring you some huge smiles and warmth. I think that says enough, not?

Friday: THE HOUSE w/ Phil Weeks @ AIR

“The House, oldschool vibe for the new school tribe.” Do you remember, when house was for music fans and everything evolved around the atmosphere and music? Back in the day, when house music was sampled to make people dance, without any compromises. That’s what this event is all about. It features one of the old school darlings, French dj/producer and Robsoul label boss Phil Weeks. The man managed to become one of the most respected men within the original Chicago house scene. Of course, there’ll be enough local heroes to support the cause; William Kouam Djoko, De Sluwe Vos and your hosts for the night RAAF & ABSURD.

Saturday: Ben In Het Woud @ Secret Location

Finally, if you’re more of an obscure raver, I can recommend you go and have yourself an intimate party in the woods somewhere around this town… Raw, illegal, dark. I can’t elaborate too much on this one, just that it will happen and it’s 20 minutes away from Westerpark. Artists include Francesco Robustelli, Hubert Kirchner, Het Meisje, No Reset, Stratum and De Zoon Van Ruud amongst others. Expect some mystery guests to come join in behind the booth as well. Enjoy the hangover.
